A Three-Poster Tour Series
This series took on tour poster design for three artists with very different sounds and very different existing visual worlds: Fall Out Boy, Olivia Rodrigo, and The Band Camino. The challenge wasn’t inventing a look from scratch each time — it was reading each artist’s existing brand and sonic identity and translating it into a single static poster that still felt like it belonged to them.
High-contrast, black-and-white live photography, sliced into horizontal bands that peel open like blinds to reveal the performance shot underneath. The letters spelling “FALL OUT” run down the right edge inside those same bands, with a pill-shaped capsule standing in for the O — a nod to the tour’s title. Everything else is stripped back: black background, heavy grain, and the date and city held to a single clean line in the bottom corner.
This one leans straight into the GUTS album era’s visual language: a grainy, black-and-white photo of Olivia mid-scream, scratched film texture, and a lavender accent pulled directly from the GUTS branding. The tour dates spill out of her open mouth in a curved list — turning what’s normally the most boring part of a poster into its most playful moment.
A moodier, more atmospheric direction: a dark, marbled ink-wash texture sits behind a hand-lettered script wordmark, with three black-and-white portrait crops of the band lined up along the bottom. The full tour — dozens of cities — runs in tight, evenly spaced columns of clean sans-serif type, keeping a long list readable without breaking the composition.
Looking at the three side by side, the throughline isn’t a shared visual style — it’s a shared process. Each poster starts from the artist’s existing world (their album art, their photography, their color) and builds the layout around it, rather than starting from a blank page. Grain and blinds for Fall Out Boy, vintage horror-movie texture for Olivia Rodrigo, ink-wash and script for The Band Camino — three completely different toolkits, each doing the same basic job: set a mood at a glance, then get a long list of tour dates read without killing that mood.
